Caroline graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2011 with a Spanish Literature & Cultures Degree.  While always an avid eater since childhood, her passion began to grow as she discovered the joy of sharing delicious foods with others & she entered the food industry in her early twenties.

Meanwhile, Caroline discovered the importance of empowering herself with not only daily endorphins & positive food for the soul, but also bold functional ingredients & delicious flavor profiles. She created Dalé Bars with a daydream in 2013 while craving a delicious, yet sustaining snack to keep her energized while working. 

In order to level up her skills, she decided to make a fearless leap. After reaching supervisor roles in the corporate food industry (Panera Bread, Whole Foods Market), Caroline literally moved outside her comfort zone to Napa Valley & attended the Culinary Institute of America, earning her Associates Degree in Culinary Arts in 2019.

For over a decade, Caroline has been in management roles in the food service industry, including Kitchen Manager at La Saison. She has combined her love for serving & empowering others with strong organizational skills and attention to details, allowing her to stand out as a leader, administratively & creatively.

Currently, Caroline resides in Sonoma County where she is a long-distant catmom to Malbec & Whiskey and enjoys endorphins, meal prepping, & beach adventures.

Dale Chica Dale website encourages & empowers busy individuals through approachable & budget-friendly recipes.

The Dalé Chica Dalé blog was started to empower busy foodies with approachable, budget-friendly & healthy-ish recipes, culinary tips & soulful motivation, providing inspiration inside & outside of the kitchen while showcasing Chef Caroline’s journey in Napa Valley.

Similar to the literary romantic concept of “carpe diem,” “DALÉ” represents more of a spirit to embody, a way of life - to live boldly, to seize the present moment & to live our best lives!

This platform is for all foodie people, inclusively, and in particular, for women, those identifying as women, and those that may feel marginalized in any sense of the word.  

The word “chica” was specifically chosen as the feminine form of the Spanish word chico, meaning “boy” or “girl.”  The role of a female historically has been seen as inferior & discriminated against for all the beauty that makes them different from the “status quo” of being male

On this platform, Chica represents the minority, the underdog, the dreamer, the adventurer. Chica represents those that beat to the sound of their own drum or even those that simply desire some energetic magic to lift their souls (& taste buds).
